A code is a starting point, not an answer
The free read at a parts counter hands you a number. That number tells you which circuit is unhappy, not which part is at fault. A single misfire code can be a coil, a plug, an injector, a vacuum leak or low compression, and those are wildly different repairs at wildly different prices.
We pull the codes, then watch the engine actually run. Fuel trims, sensor voltages, misfire counters, freeze-frame data from the exact moment the fault triggered. That's the difference between a guess and a diagnosis.
It pays for itself if you go ahead
The diagnostic is $95, down from $125. Have us do the repair and that $95 is taken off the final bill, so finding the fault costs you nothing.
Take the answer elsewhere if you'd rather. You keep what we found, and there's no pressure either way.

Is the $95 credited if you do the repair?
Yes. The full $95 comes off the final bill. If you'd rather take the diagnosis elsewhere, that's fine — the $95 covers the time and equipment.
Can you diagnose a car that won't start?
Yes. No-starts are one of our most common calls. We test the battery, charging system, starter circuit, fuel and ignition side on the spot.
What if the light is on but the car drives fine?
Still worth scanning. Plenty of faults that don't change how the car feels will quietly damage a catalytic converter, which is a far bigger bill later.
